Come and join us on a springtime fly fishing adventure of a lifetime, to the River Dee in amazingly beautiful part of Scotland-Royal Deeside.
The River Dee is the top spring salmon fishery in the world and we are delighted to have secured access to the river. We’re making an early start in spring 2010 where we have got weeks 13 & 14 booked. Our beats are the classic ones for prime springtime fly fishing where the quality of these fish have to be seen to be appreciated-solid bars of hard fighting Atlantic Salmon. To get a flavour of Deeside and a variety of fishing we will apply “rotation”, i.e. the fishing will be spread out on our classic beats over the days of our visit.
To fly fish in the classic River Dee is for many a big dream, and to get hold of availability here is almost impossible. In March and April the elusive springers (salmon that enter the river in early spring) are coming, and these silver coloured fishes are the very finest to be caught on a fly anywhere in the world.
With a constant increase in annual catches in River Dee year on year over the last 10 years, combined with the estuary and sea nets, being been bought by the DSFIA, the prospect for spring 2010 is looking exciting for the River Dee.
There are extremely experienced and talented local Ghillies who will make sure that you get the most out of your week. On hand will also be both Jonas Runnberg and Mattias Helde – the men behind fiskeresor.nu. These gentlemen will help you out with techniques, fly lines, flies, how to “read the water” and much more. Everything to make your week in Royal Deeside, Scotland quite unforgettable!
We also have something new for 2011, and it is the Self Catering option package. It has off course the prime spring salmon fishing, and your quality accommodation is included in the package price. This is a very attractive option and has come as a result of requests from our visitors.
We of course value all our anglers’ feedback and we do listen to your views.
This is our fourth season in Scotland and we have become experienced with the River and traditions, and we can ensure the best service on your visit. The number of participants on the trip is kept to a low number which really makes it a friendly week, and the prices very favourable as the overheads are kept as low as possible.
We will fish two or three renowned beats for 6 days from Monday through to Saturday; Sundays are for reflection, relaxation and of course travelling. Traditionally there is no fishing in Scotland on a Sunday so the river pools are rested.
We are really looking forward to greet the spring with you on River Dee’s green banks where we are sure the elusive silver springers will be waiting in the pools of the Dee for your well presented fly!
We were blogging on both previous trips. You can read the posts here:
